Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training 2017
June 8, 2016
Yoga and an injury
July 5, 2016I remember my first few classes and how I tried to keep up while looking at everyone else beside me. I laugh at myself looking back because soon yoga would become as natural as breathing. I have a background in martial arts and athletics and found my new home at Earth Yoga Studio where I completed my yoga teacher training. I continued to study with amazing teachers like Kino MacGregor, Meghan Currie and Raghunath Cappo in America before deciding to sail across the seas.
Having recently returned to South Africa, my practice has changed as much as I have. I continue to grow and practice every day to let go and put my ego aside so that I can shift into a heartfelt flow. My classes are modernly yin influenced yet powerful with a strong anatomic focus. I empower students to explore their connection to the physical, mental and most of all, the BREATH.
Yoga block party is a yoga prop theme workshop that inspires play. This creative variation of traditional asana(postures) and sequences is open to all levels of practitioners. Learn how to properly engage and support muscles in every yoga pose without overextending and causing injury. Explore the fundamentals of each asana (posture) and use yoga blocks together with breath to find better alignment and comfort. Target the stabilizing muscles and improve your Flexibility, Strength and Balance.
Come flow with me through Sun Salutations as we learn to lift through Lolasana(Pendant Pose) and fly Bakasana(Crane Pose).
