Earth Yoga contributes food and uplifts spirits on their 3rd birthday

18 July 2015 Kyalami – Earth Yoga Studio celebrated their 3rd Birthday with demonstrations of different styles of yoga, traditional Indian dance, a delightful head massage as well as cuisine with an overall goal of enlightening people and sharing happiness.  This Birthday celebration was well attended with a variety of people from curious onlookers to  seasoned yogis. One thing that is always tangible, on a usual day to this event was the genuine hospitality and positivity that Earth Yoga infuses into every moment.

A lovely demonstration of traditional Indian dance was performed by young members of the community followed by an intense demonstration of Vinyasa Yoga by Malcom Nair. Vinyasa Yoga is being aware of each movement and linking your movement to the breath. Ben and Louise’s fun banter and skilled demonstration of Acro Yoga truly showed that we only get old when we stop playing. Acro yoga is the combination of the wisdom of yoga, the fun of acrobatics and the loving kindness of Thai massage. These three lineages create trust, community and playfulness. The final demonstration of Sky Yoga, was performed and instructed as if in a class situation, by Izelle Nair, Carin and Vicky.  Earth Yoga studio was founded by Izelle and Malcolm Nair, in June 2012. They created a down-to-earth, private and safe space where people can reconnect to their true Selves through the practice of Yoga.

Their intention is to build a community of like-minded people that want to create happiness within themselves and want people to connect to their inner peace and inner strength, and take their practice off their mats and change their lives.
