August 2, 2017Practice yoga daily and live the lifestyle. Immerse yourself fully in the practice of yoga for 3 weeks. Inquire who you are and get to know yourself. Connect with nature and come back to a natural state of being.
This intensive is ideal if you do not live in Johannesburg. The space is beautiful and located in the heart of Sun Valley, Kyalami in Midrand. You will have Sundays off and tours can be arranged’ or hike in the Inanda Country Base, or enjoy the company of the local horses.
You also have the option to drive daily if you live nearby instead of living on the premises. Meals are not included in the non residential option. You will have access to a kitchen if you want to prepare food.
This yoga teacher training is registered internationally with the Yoga Alliance and once the course is successfully completed you can register for the 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training and teach Vinyasa and Hatha Yoga
How it works
Live and practice at the same venue. No need to travel, no need to stress. Three healthy vegan meals are provided every day. Unless you choose the non residential option.

What to expect from the schedule, a typical day:
7am – 9am: Sadhana (practice yoga asana, pranayama, meditation, mantra)
9am – 10am: Breakfast
10am – 1pm: Yoga Anatomy
1pm – 2pm: Lunch – free time
2pm – 4pm: Yoga Philosophy / Practical
4pm – 6pm: Sadhana (practice yoga asana, pranayama, meditation, mantra)
6pm – 7pm: Dinner
7pm – 8pm: Kirtan / Meditation
How to apply
If you do not practice at Earth Yoga Studio in Kyalami regularly an interview will be arranged before your application is approved.
Fees:
Once your application is approved please pay the deposit fee of R12 000 (R6 500 for non residential). Pay before 30 September 2017 and pay only R35 900 (R17 000 for non residential). Full fee of R38 900 (R20 000 non residential) due by Exam, 26 November 2017. The non residential option does not include meals. If fees are not paid by date of exam, entry to exam will not be allowed and student will not be certified.
Requirements
- You state of health should be good.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Book Reports must be submitted 1 week before the training starts. No exception!
Read the first three books in the reading list prior to the training and write your response on:
- your personal impression of each
- the most valuable component for you
- an elaboration on how this material could be useful for a yoga teacher.

- The Heart of Yoga: Developing a Personal Practice, by T. K. V. Desikachar
- Loving What Is, by Byron Katie (audio book)
*These books are not included in the training fees and must be ordered from Amazon or book stores. If you cannot get hold of these books or if you cannot afford to buy them, you can borrow these from Earth Yoga Studio.
