Trick and Treat with Natalie Botha
October 8, 2015
New Year Offer
December 26, 2015A yogi is one who is detached and liberated (moksha) from the influence of the mind. We often hear teachers advising us to live in the moment. But how is it possable when the mind is full of desire and reacting to every experience with strong emotional involvement.
Yoga Nidra is an experience that can be developed by training our awareness to become attentive and simply observe without having to become involved in rational logic or reasoning.
“When the awareness is concentrated in the action of listening, feeling and experiencing that is what we call mindfullness”.
Yoga Nidra is also known as a deep relaxation technique that gradually exhausts the samskaras (seeds of karma).
The workshop will introduce the technique of yoga nidra as a personal practice of meditation and those who complete the workshop will also be able to teach the technique to others.
Certification: those student who want to continue and certify as yoga nidra instructors may do so by participating in a homework study and completing a series of 3 practical class transcriptions which they will teach to gain certification.
